Covid 19 guidance
Children and young people with Covid 19 who are unwell and have a high temperature (over 38°C) should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can go back to school, college or childcare, and resume normal activities when they no longer have a high temperature and they feel well enough to attend.
If no contact is received regarding the absence of the student, it is recorded as unauthorised as the school is responsible for deciding if the student absence is acceptable or not.
Only genuine absence will be authorised. You will be asked to provide medical evidence if your child has low attendance record.
Please make sure medical appointments are made outside of school time.
Avoid absences such as 'buying school equipment' or 'its their birthday', as this will not be accepted as a reasonable absence.
Holidays should not be booked in school term time. Holidays will not be authorised during term time. A Fixed Penalty Notice will be issued by Swindon Borough Council.
Respond to school letters, emails or telephone calls regarding attendance.
Contact the school in you are experiencing difficulty getting you child into school.
