A sporting inspiration
Olympic athlete Craig Figes came into school this week as a small group of students embarked on a programme with the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
Craig captained the men’s GB water polo team at the 2012 London Olympics and is an ambassador for the Trust, which aims to empower young people to achieve sustainable positive life outcomes: being healthy, achieving in education, involvement in meaningful activities and career success. The students threw themselves into the activities which include a variety of challenges involving teamwork and physical skills.
