Hysteria at Battle of the Bands

On 29th November a band from Nova entered the annual Swindon Academy Battle of the Bands competition. 

Hysteria consists of Charlotte (Year 9), and Year 10s Madison, Gracie, Julia and Chloe. The band learned their song a matter of weeks before the show through rehearsals after school in their own time and at home. They performed ‘I Bet That You Look Good On The Dance Floor’ by the Arctic Monkeys and received a rapturous applause for their brilliant performance. In the end they were awarded 2nd place and beat many other bands including Sixth Formers.

The Music department are incredibly proud of all of the performers and hope that Nova scholars will hear their very own concert from the band and other performers very soon during assembly.

There will be a chance to hear more from Hysteria and many other talented performers at the Christmas concert.
