A busy week for the Choir

A busy week for the Choir

Nova Hreod Academy / Categories: News

Year 7 and Year 8 students took a stroll to St Mary’s Church for our annual Carol Concert, where the Choir performed some festive songs and led the staff and students in a selection of traditional Christmas carols.

The Community Carol concert was unfortunately postponed due to the severe weather, but it was quickly rearranged and took place at the school, where the choir performed their festive favourites, with some excellent solo performances and readings.

On the last day of term, the Choir were invited to sing at Swindon Town Football Club where they braved the cold weather to entertain the fans as they arrived at the ground. An interruption to the performance came in the form of Santa Claus and STFC’s mascot, who tried to steal the limelight, but all credit to Mr Gray and the Choir for remaining professional despite the cheeky interruptions! After the performance, the students and their parents were invited to stay for the match, a fitting reward for all their hard work this term.
