Sparkling GCSE results at Nova Hreod Academy

I am proud to announce the very best set of GCSE results ever achieved at Nova Hreod Academy and would like to pass on my congratulations to the students who achieved them. The success that they have enjoyed is a true testament to how hard they worked this past academic year.

60% of our students achieved 5 x grades at A* to C including English and Mathematics, virtually doubling the results the school achieved in 2014. This headline figure incorporates some fantastic subject-specific results, including 82% grades A* to C in English and 70% grades A* to C in Mathematics.

Several students did exceptionally well, including eight students who achieved 5 or more A*to A grades.

I would like to thank our staff for all their endeavours last year that helped our students achieve these exceptional results. Throughout the year we have taught great lessons, set and assessed numerous homeworks, marked and analysed past papers and run data driven interventions and our strategy has very clearly paid off. I would also like to extend my thanks to the governing body for their unstinting challenge and support this past year. Finally, I would like to thank all the parents/carers who have supported their children through the challenges of their GCSE year. GCSE exams are a demanding time for families and I know that they could not have done it without you.

I am already excited about the next academic year and look forward to sharing more good news with you in future weeks.
