Bridging the generation gap

Year 10 Health and Social Care students hosted a heartwarming celebration afternoon, welcoming 42 residents and their carers from local care homes to our school for an unforgettable event. The afternoon was filled with smiles, music, and community spirit as our students worked hard to create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for their guests.

Guests were treated to a variety of entertainment, including live performances from some of our talented Music Ambassadors. There was plenty of singing and dancing, with students and visitors joining in some lovely moments. The students demonstrated confidence when supporting and interacting with our visitors, gaining excellent experience for future employment.

Students also proudly served a lovely selection of refreshments. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to put their learning into practice, demonstrating not only their skills in planning and hosting but also the core values of care, respect, and inclusion.

A huge well done to all the students involved – your efforts made a real impact and helped to brighten the day for so many members of our community.
