After working hard on their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award this year, the Year 9 cohort completed their expedition on two of the hottest June days on record!
For the practice expedition, the participants walked the Cotswold Way in Gloucestershire, starting in Birdlip and making their way to Cranham via Painswick Beacon. Over 2 days they walked 26 miles in great weather and although some found it difficult they persevered to prove they are up to the challenge of the final expedition on 19th June. They planned to walk the Ridgeway from Barbury Castle to Postern Hill Campsite and then Back to Barbury Castle on the Whitehorse Way.
Although they were hot, they were all in good spirits, and we look forward to presenting them with their certificates in September when the students have finished all four parts of their award.
