Year 8 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at the Mendip Activity Centre in the heart of Somerset’s Mendip Hills. The three day residential camp brought together 100 students for a packed itinerary of outdoor challenges, team-building activities, and personal growth.
As soon as the students set up their accommodation, they swiftly started on their activities, which included archery, rock climbing, and axe throwing, together with other outdoor challenge and team building activities.
Teachers praised the students for their enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the trip.
“The highlight for me was definitely the rock climbing,” said Mrs Hendra. “It was incredible to see how the students have grown over just a few days, they overcame their fears and supported each other and it was amazing to see what they could do by working together.”
The Mendip Activity Centre provided a safe and supportive environment for students to push their boundaries and every activity was designed to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork.
Evenings were filled with fun and games, and everyone returned to school exhausted, with memories that will last a lifetime.
