At Nova Hreod Academy we are proud to teach a timeless and traditional academic
curriculum of ‘enabling’ subjects designed to allow all students to progress to demanding A-
Level courses and ultimately Russell Group Universities.
All KS3 students are taught English and Mathematics virtually every day alongside the English
Baccalaureate subjects of Science, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages and Religious
Education.
There are also numerous opportunities for students to enjoy Art, Music, Drama, Food and Textiles
in both the KS3 and GCSE curriculum with GCSE Computing also being a highly popular option at
GCSE level.
Our PSHE/SMSC programme covers the many issues that affect young people as they progress
from childhood to adulthood including British Values, healthy living, eSafety, bullying, alcohol
awareness and sexual health and relationships education.
