The Spring Concert on Wednesday was a resounding success, delighting both performers and audience alike. With the theme Music Through Time, the evening showcased an impressive journey across musical eras, celebrating the richness and diversity of musical history.
Rather than following a strict chronological timeline, performances were grouped by genre. This approach allowed students to choose pieces they felt a genuine connection with; this resulted in an exciting and varied programme that kept the audience engaged throughout.
From the lively rendition of Oh When the Saints by the Year 7 clarinets to a beautifully delivered performance of Bring Me to Life by Layla, the concert highlighted the confidence, talent and individuality of our students. The breadth of music on display was a true testament to their creativity and musical curiosity.
Behind the scenes, students dedicated countless lunchtimes and after-school sessions to prepare. Their commitment and enthusiasm were evident in every performance. A huge well done goes to everyone involved who put in a lot of effort to make for a memorable evening. Thank you also to all the parents and carers, for their support on the night and also all the help they have given to our performers in the run up to the Spring Concert.
