Nine students went to Abbey Park school to compete in a Panathlon competition. The students had to compete in seven different team-based challenges against other schools from across Swindon. 

And Nova won the whole competition!

The competition had a focus on participation, confidence and teamwork, with friendly competition between schools. 

Mrs Mason, Head of PE at Nova Hreod Academy, said:

This was a great opportunity for students who normally don't get to compete in sports competitions to enjoy the thrill of competing and work on their teamwork, giving them a sense of achievement and belonging. Everyone threw themselves into the competition, worked really hard, and thoroughly enjoyed the events. I was really proud of the team!
