Springboard Futurechef 2020 Final
Congratulations to Antwan - after winning the Wiltshire final in Bristol of Springboard Futurechef 2020, Antwan (Year 11) was allocated a chef mentor who was assigned to help him with his menu planning, budgeting, food preparation, cooking and presentation on his route to the South West of England final in Taunton.
This competition is one of the most prestigious for his age group in the UK. To reach the regional final is no mean feat. Antwan competed against impressive opposition and did himself proud cooking his two-course menu in 90 minutes. His menu was similar to the one he used in the final, with a few tweaks: Fillet of Cod with Poached Egg, Crushed Potatoes, Chive Butter Sauce and a Bacon Crumb followed by Apple Tarte Tatin with Raspberries and Cinnamon Cream. Antwan has career aspirations in the Hospitality & Catering sector and we’re sure he will be very successful.
