Year 10 attended a STEM day recently run by the Engineering Development Trust in partnership with TATA Consultancies. The day began with a talk from TATA Consultancies about what they do and the kind of opportunities they offer for school leavers. This was followed by several activities including a code breaker challenge, designing and building a model of an "ecohome" and a Dragon’s Den style activity where the students had to design and present a solution to a technology based problem.

The students were excellent ambassadors for the school, remaining engaged and focussed on the activities right through the day. Each challenge had a winning team who were lucky enough to go away with a Bluetooth speaker in recognition of their efforts!
