Virtual reward for maths superstars
The maths faculty organised a special event for a group of scholars when a virtual reality company was invited to run a reward day for Year 11 maths ambassadors and the top performing Sparx scholars.
Everyone had the chance to take part in VR sessions and some of them confronted their fears in a room full of spiders - and bananas!
The maths ambassadors are a group of scholars who support others by helping out at maths homework club and volunteer their time to help people improve their maths at Sparx club. Many of the maths ambassadors are in the top 20 in their year group, who were also invited to take part in the VR session.
