Brilliant Club

Nova Hreod Academy / Categories: News

A group of hardworking Year 7 students have embarked upon a 12 week programme with The Brilliant Club, a scheme which is designed to stretch their understanding of a topic with a PhD tutor. This year they have been working with Phillip Monks who has been guiding them through the history and nuances of poetry and fairy tales.

For their introduction to the programme, the students visited Cardiff University where they attended a seminar with Brilliant Club students from other schools, covering the skills that they will need to do their assignments, and learning that ambitions and aspirations change throughout people’s lives, but that a university education is a strong starting point.
