Primary Football Cup
The sun was shining as we were joined by Year 5 pupils from some of our feeder primary schools to compete for the title of Nova Hreod Academy Primary Football Cup winners 2018.
Teams from Moredon Primary School, Bridlewood Primary School, Even Swindon Primary and Rodbourne Cheney Primary School played against each other in a series of high quality 5-a-side matches. Two Even Swindon teams both won their semi-final, resulting in an Even Swindon head-to-head in the final. Moredon and Bridlewood faced each other in the playoff for third place, which was claimed by Moredon Primary.
We were very impressed by the high standard of sportsmanship and enthusiasm from all the players, and we look forward to welcoming them back next year to challenge Even Swindon Primary for the title.
Special thanks to Mr Smith for organising the tournament, and to our group of Year 10 sports leaders who supported and acted as officials during the games.
