Sports Day 2017
On Tuesday 11th July students from across the school participated in the annual Sports Day at the County Ground. Students were divided into four teams: England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. There were a number of track and field events for students to participate in, and the whole school turned out with their families to cheer on the teams.
Mrs Mason, subject leader for PE, remarked that the atmosphere of the day had been “exhilarating” and competitors had experienced a wonderful day. Mr Barton said how pleased he had been with the sportsmanship and teamwork shown by all of the competitors, and particularly the way in which competitors supported each other.
Rain momentarily threatened to interrupt proceedings, but soon disappeared, allowing us to complete the events.
